One of the easiest of all fish dishes, this classic brown butter sauce is perfect with sweet trout. This easy recipe grilled rainbow trout is perfect for beginner cooks fish.
For six whole grilled rainbow trout

Total time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
- All 6 boneless rainbow trout
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- A quarter cup of chopped fresh parsley
- Lemon slices for garnish
Preparation:
Place the butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until browned and butter is the smell of hazelnut. Reduce to a simmer and keep warm.
Remove the heads of the trout, and place skin side down on lightly greased baking sheets with foil. Brush light brown with a little butter on the surface. Season generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Roast about 4 inches from the heat for 3-5 minutes or until fish flakes when tested with a fork. While the fish cook, place the butter over medium heat and stir in lemon juice. Once the mixture begins to boil, add the parsley, put out the fire.
When you are ready, serve hot dishes trout with brown butter warm spoon lemon parsley on top. Serve lemon wedges on the side.
