The famous garbage plate in Rochester, New York


A Brief History

The garbage patch was reference to this great example of the extreme American cuisine famous born in Rochester, New York, Nick Tahou Hots, a restaurant. The first version goes all the way back to 1918, when it was originally called "Hots and Potatoes." The strain under the nickname "Hots and Po-tots" and that is basically a plate full of fries, baked beans, sausage, onions, mustard and chili sauce-like.

It was not until many years after the course was officially renamed "Garbage Patch".
