Whether it's chicken or beef teriyaki is probably the most popular Japanese recipe in America. Teriyaki comes from the words "Teri", which means "light" and "yaki" means grilled. Teriyaki beef is a simple recipe with few ingredients.
This recipe uses a sirloin beef teriyaki, but you can use the same sauce with different cuts of beef, chicken and pork.
